About Me



The Reverend John Andraos Shalhoub received his education in counseling from East Carolina University 1992; his studies in the doctoral program from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, 1984; his graduate studies in psychology from Plattsburgh University College, Plattsburgh, N. Y., 1971; and in educational psychology from St. Rose College, Albany, New York, 1972.

The Reverend John Andraos Shalhoub received his undergraduate studies from Toledo University, Toledo, Ohio, 1966-1968; Siena College, Loudonville, New York, 1970; the Adirondack Community College, Glens Falls, New York, 1969; and his religious education and ministry training from the Balamand Seminary, Lebanon, from 1958 to 1964.



The Reverend John A. Shalhoub attended East Carolina University and was licensed by the Department of Public Instruction of North Carolina state as a Guidance Counselor on February 18, 1992.

He is also certified as an English and social studies teacher, grades 7-12, since 1977 from the state of New York, and since 1985 from the State of North Carolina.

He was ordained as a priest on February 23, 1966 and was commissioned as United States Navy Chaplain on March 19, 1982.

The National Board of Professional Counselors certified him as a National Professional Counselor on October 20, 1990; and the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors licensed him as a licensed Professional Counselor on November 15, 1990.

He is a member of the National Education Association, the North Carolina Association of Educators, the American Counseling Association, the American Mental Health Association, and the South Carolina Adlerian Psychology Society.
